Inateck BCST-43 is capable of reading all the 1D barcodes on paper and screen.

Note: For better decoding speed, some non frequently used barcodes are disabled by default so please follow steps in the manual to enable the barcode type you need when necessary.

Note:This product is not compatible with some POS software such as Square and Shopify. We have no restrictions or requirements for any POS system but some POS systems require designated barcode scanners. Out of the Box
The usage has been simplified so it is not necessary to carry the instruction manual during use for most users.
1. The scanner is on the silent and vibrate mode by default, which is a good companion for users in libraries and bookstores.
2. The independant power switch can prevent misoperation when you put the scanner in the pocket.
3. To save power, it will automatically enter sleep mode after 3 minutes of inactivity. You may reset the auto sleep time if needed.
4. Thoughtful shortcut feature is available.
a. 2.4G /Bluetooth Pairing: Long press the M button b.Inventory/Normal Mode Switch: Long press the scanning button and the M button at the same time. c. Quick Check on Battery Level: Short press the M button. d.dWireless Adapter/Bluetooth Mode Switch: Long press the M button and switch on the scanner simultaneously. e. iOS Virtual Keyboard: Long press the scanning button for 3s to invoke it.

Multiple Notifications
BCST-43 is on the silent and vibrate mode by default. If you would like to turn on sound notifications, please manually configure the scanner according to the instruction manual.
Inventory Mode
It supports inventory mode where you can temporarily save over 270,000 barcodes in buffer and then you can manually upload the data to your device in batch
Custom ConfigurationCustom configuration is available for BCST-43. Please configure your scanner according to the instruction manual for desired functions including but not limited to the following ones. 1.Customize 1-32 digit prefixes/suffixes. 2.Delete 0~99 beginning/ending characters. 3.Output barcode as uppercase/lowercase 4.Switch to other language keyboard such as Japanese, English(US), German, French(France), French(Canada), Spanish, Italian and English(UK).

2. Shipping fee:

3. Customs tax and VAT
For US customers, there is NO tax or duties. For customers from other countries, import duties and taxes are NOT included in the item price or shipping charges and we are not responsible for them, customers should be responsible for it. For some small or low-value item, there is no tax actually. But for more information, please check with your country’s customs office to know the tax threshold, and exact charges.
After your order payment confirmation, we will send the parcel usually in 1-2 business days. For the US customers, if you choose standard shipping, it usually takes about 3-6 days; If you choose express shipping, it only takes about 1-3 days for you to receive it within the US.
5. Shipping carrier:
Fedex, USPS or UPS is used for a safe and speedy delivery.
6. Shipping address change:
Please kindly contact our customer service by Email support@inateck.com within 12 hours. Otherwise, the item will be shipped to the original address and you have to contact the carrier directly yourself.
7. Shipping track
Once your parcel is shipped, we will send you an Email with tracking info and link, you can check it yourself afterwards. If you do not receive this Email, please contact our customer service.
8. Shipping issues
If you received a wrong item or the item is missing, please contact our service team within 7 days after the issue happens. We will correct any order errors as soon as possible.

3. Do I need to pay for the customs tax?
For US customers, there’s no extra customs tax and duties at all, as the products on US site are all shipped from our US warehouse directly.
For customers from other countries, usually there’s no tax for low-valued products below thresholds. But for products with higher value, tax and duties may occur and you have to be responsible for it yourself. Tax threshold differs from country to country. Please refer to the customs policy according of your own country.

Product FAQ
1. Is the scanner compatible with Square/Shopify/QuickBooks, or some other
software, POS?
Our scanner is incompatible with Square/Shopify/QuickBooks. We never restrict other software or applications from using our barcode scanners. However, some software or applications may require a designated brand of barcode scanner or may have some special requirements. It is recommended to contact the software manufacturer to double check. If there are no special restrictions, our barcode scanner should be compatible with those software. If your software has some special requirements, please provide us with more details and then we will test and provide you with a solution.
2. Can the scanner read DPM code?
No. DPM code has extremely high requirements on the scanner. All of our scanners do not support this barcode type.
3. What can I do if my scanner doesn't work in Bluetooth wireless mode?
To resolve this issue, please refer to the troubleshooting steps below first:
- Make sure your scanner has wireless function.
- Try the scanner with different Bluetooth devices to see if the wireless function works.
- Charge the scanner for 3~4 hours and check if the LED light is on.
- Restore the scanner to factory defaults.
- Delete the Bluetooth pairing record on your device, and re-pair them according to the user manual.
If the issue still persists, please contact Inateck customer support for further assistance.
4. What can I do if the red beam comes on but the barcode cannot be
recognized?
To resolve this issue, please refer to the troubleshooting steps below first:
- Make sure the scanner is well connected with your device.
- Check if your scanner is configured to read this type of barcode.
- Scan the barcode from different distance.
If the issue still persists, please contact Inateck customer support with a sharp picture of the barcode for further assistance.
5. The scanner works well in wired mode but it gives wrong scans in Bluetooth
mode.
To resolve this issue, please refer to the troubleshooting steps below first:
- If the scanner is working with Mac OS or iOS, please program the scanner to Mac OS/iOS mode according to the manual.
- Make sure the scanner's language matches the language of your device.
- Decrease the data transmission speed. The data transmission interval is 0ms by default. You can set the data ransmission Interval to 64ms or 96ms if necessary.
